The Senior Safe Space program at the PALW provides activities, wellness programming, and personalized support for adults ages 55 and older. Participants gather each week to build relationships, access community resources, and strengthen overall well-being.

  • Community trips to shopping destinations, restaurants, movies, and museums

Enjoy music, movement, and community through our line dancing sessions. Classes are led by Ms. Johnnie Haynie of Delaware’s Finest Line Dance Crew (DFLDC) and are designed to be fun, welcoming, and easy to follow for participants of all experience levels.

Participants enjoy:

  • Opportunities to socialize and build friendships
  • A fun, supportive group atmosphere

Transportation should never stand in the way of participation. We provide dependable transportation to help you stay engaged and connected.

Transportation is available for:

Senior Safe Space is rooted in connection. It brings people together for conversation, shared experiences, laughter, learning, and relationships that strengthen well-being and foster belonging. 

This program reflects the Police Athletic League of Wilmington’s long-standing commitment to serving the Wilmington and New Castle County community. For nearly 24 years, PALW has provided trusted programs in childcare, recreation, health and wellness, education, disaster relief, and family support.

Senior Safe Space extends that same care and commitment to older adults because strong communities support every generation.
